Traditional MARINS championship is traditional multinational event, including both coastal and “round-the can” races for inflatable and demountable multihulls in ex-USSR countries. The championship attracts dozens boats from Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine, with some crews travelling more than 3000 km to take part in competition. It is easy, if your boat can be dismounted and packed for air or train travel.
This year the event will take place 9-15.09.2017 in Kazakhstan city Aktau, on the shores of Caspian Sea. More than 50 crews have already declared their intention to take part in the Championship.
Championship includes 4 coastal races with total distance around 150 miles and 8 short races. Event starts and finishes in city Aktau, but during race, competitors will camp on uninhabitable shores. So, participants must have adequate camping gear, food stores etc. to support themselves for several days out-door in harsh weather conditions.
Why do you enter the race? Because the event is a great opportunity to race with and against of all kinds of weird floating contraptions, to camp on mysterious, deserted shores, and to join the friendly and enthusiastic community of multihull travelers.
